First completed journal page

This page is one of the few completed pages in my journal. The title is 'flowers of light' and the other text is 'beautiful gifts from nature sprouting from the unknown'.
 First I ripped an A-Z page and some old book page and glued them onto the pages to create texture and interest.  The background is watercolour and then I used a stencil to spray the blue diamond and cross pattern on top of the watercolour.
I dripped some green ink from the bottom of the page and thought it looked like grass so I then cut out the lampshades from a posh catalogue which didn't have glossy pages. I liked this as it meant they were easier to glue down. I outlined them and drew the stems with a sharpie permanent marker.

Journal

 For my first blog I thought I would show you my journal. It is a material bound notebook from WHsmiths which cost about £7 approximately 18 months ago.
It has a flower pattern on the front but I thought I would make it a bit more sparkly by adding glitter glue purchased from Hobby Craft and glossy accents. I think this adds a bit of bling to an otherwise plain notebook.
The journal has plain pages of cream paper of a light weight.
